A handful of easily personalized pharmacy brands appeared on the market several years ago. The packaging of dietary supplements or OTC medicines was printed with the name of the dispensing pharmacy as a private label. This should create additional customer loyalty. Last but not least, an attempt to create added value compared to the growing online pharmacy trade with the high trust of the local pharmacist. So far, however, these private labels have hardly caught on in stationary pharmacies. On the one hand, the rather high individualization costs, the resulting minimum purchase quantities and the limited product portfolio can be identified as causes. Another reason is certainly that the private label lacked an additional digital benefit in order to position itself in this area over the long term compared to online pharmacies.
With the mediQResponse, the stationary pharmacist finally gets a real unique selling point as a personalized digital supplement for his pharmacy. The highlight is that the supplement only becomes a private label product from the pharmacist on theses. Because only at the end of the sales consultation does the pharmacist personalize the product by applying a smart sticker. In addition to the name of the issuing pharmacy, this also has a QR code. This eliminates high production costs and minimum purchases. The product selection is also virtually unlimited, since the smart sticker can be used for every product registered on the mediQResponse platform: by applying it to design elements of the product outer packaging or additional tuck-in flaps.
