Our

3 Environment / sustainability
such as conserving resources (energy, water, air), recycling and avoiding waste, reducing emissions (waste, exhaust air, wastewater), optimizing packaging
Our "employee" LINDA helps us at Fortis Pharma to address the issues of sustainability and environmental protection for future generations as well.
How LINDA got her name .....
We offset the CO2 footprint that we left behind to establish our (pharmaceutical) site in Murchin in the bioeconomy center of Anklam with forest shares. These shares are used to create climate forests in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, which house various climate-resistant tree species as mixed forests. We chose an area with climate-resistant linden trees, because village linden trees are part of the cultural heritage of our area. The tree, which used to be considered sacred, has always been a place of assembly, jurisdiction and celebration in the center of the village. And now this spirit accompanies Fortis Pharma as "LINDA".
What LINDA suggested to us ......

When it comes to packaging material, too, we are not only "green" from the outside. Our shipping box is of course easily biodegradable. We also use grass paper for its production! 30% grass from fallow land is added to the cardboard mash, which means that per ton of cardboard instead of 6000 liters of water, only 250 liters are used! Our shipping box made of grass paper, for example, has a much smaller ecological footprint than the "normal" recycled paper shipping box.
We are already tackling our next ambitious climate project, the Fortis Pharma “Green Office”. For this purpose, we are currently collecting the climate offender processes in a more extensive inventory analysis. We will try to replace materials with ecological alternatives as soon as possible. And if not possible, to equilibrate temporarily through climate compensation measures.
